EDIT: Added some important emphasis for clarification. Feel free to ask questions!
Read this stuff and then go here for an short 3 question anonymous survey. The first question is just whether or not you're interested. The second two questions are optional. Survey-> s.surveyplanet.com/H1dSvUoXz
(((Do not send me any prompts. This isn't official yet)))
I want to try and do some sketchy limited release creature adopts through my Ko-Fi donation/tip-jar.
After a week I'll post the ideas up for public anonymous vote through that survey page I've been using. The only ones I won't accept are if its too similar to something I'm already working on and can't figure out an alternate way to go about it. (This is super unlikely because I can do a thousand things off the same prompt usually, so this is just in case that happens; those people will get messaged for an alternate prompt).
And I'll make a batch of between 6 and 12 priced at somewhere between $30 and $60 depending on how complex the design ends up being.
These will be loose colored sketches. Emphasis on loose. They won't be clean, they won't have a hell of a lot of fine details, and I'll be making a base to work off of so they'll generally share the same pose and proportions to an extent. But this means low stress for me and more of my work available to you guys. (I actually did a test batch to challenge myself and I think it'll work as a pretty viable way for me to rake in some more steady income that'll let me devote larger amounts of time to creature eggs and the like).
If two or more prompts get within a few votes of each other as top pick I may decide to split the batch and develop a critter for each.
These will be pretty much do what you want as long as they aren't sold for more than bought for or turned into merch. I'll likely elaborate on the critter too with a chance of future batches, worldbuilding, and a potential for a group environment if significant interest happens. BUT DON'T WORRY. I'm not integrating these into any existing headworlds. I'm not going to be worrying about anyone changing their design up. Neither will I create any sort of worldbuilding rules that'll veto an already existing adopt IF this actually goes further than just a one-off batch of critters.
I'll own the IP to whatever creature comes of this but if you want to use the prompts for yourself that's your business. I don't own those. I don't care if you do your own variation of the winning prompt either as long as it's clearly it's own thing. That said, please don't pitch anything you feel precious about. There are thousands of ways to interpret a prompt no matter how detailed and the prompts will be publically seen and voted on by anyone who comes across my DA page. Chances are someone may feel inspired by one of those prompts!
If anyone does make something out of any of the prompts pitched please don't show me (or hold off on posting it right away if we're mutuals?). It puts me in a weird spot designing from a prompt someone else jumped ahead on, especially if the prompt wasn't directed at them. Similar to how show writers avoid reading any fanfiction. I don't want to step on anyone's toes but its on you if you intentionally put me in this situation. I'm also not going to go running off with pitches for my own use. If you've seen any of my work you know I have zero issue coming up with stuff. Any future similarities are coincidental though I have no control over what anyone else might do with these prompts.
I'm only looking for prompts because I want to draw some cool critters for you guys where I'm not wasting 3-12 hours on a critter no one ends up buying. (I'm not mad but I'm financially really strapped and trying to make ends meet until my larger projects are off the ground. I'm trying to get a patreon ready to launch too but thats still at least two months away.)

How this works is for $10 USD you get to pitch me a critter prompt/animal mashup/whatever.

Voting will stay open for a week. Top pick will get a free semi-custom for the person who prompted it.

Thank you for all your support and patience
I know it's been a while, a hell of a lot has happened in the last few years during my hiatus, for me and for everyone obviously. I can't imagine having tried to remain in Los Angeles still under the financial stress I was under and then having the pandemic dropped on me as well. It was huge thanks to you all for helping me get out of there before I got stranded. I was able to move back to my hometown with just enough money for food until I was able to land a job in a grocery store which is where I've been ever since. It left me with no time or energy for art, but it slowly helped me rebuild some sort of stability that while fragile, got me through the fires in norcal and the pandemic so far. I can't say I'm back from my hiatus yet. But I'm at the point now where I've been able to slowly start drawing again. I don't have a lot of free time or energy but I'm chipping away slowly at my anxiety revolving around doing art and regaining the muscle memory and drawing confidence I need
Fire Season + Personal Update
EDIT: Sorry it's been so long. There's so much going on and when I last cleaned up and updated my computer it logged me out and I couldn't remember my password or get into the email my account was attached to. Was a bit low priority to go fix that. :') (Some of this is copied from my personal/vent update on twitter from last month but its still the most relevant info tbh) Mid August: "Fuck dude we're off to a hell of a start in our fire season.. It's making me really fucking nervous. I still haven't really financially recovered from the Kincade Fire.. Covid related financial stress. I just spent what I had in reserve on vet bills. I put off paying my car registration for too long and that's the next thing I need to throw down for. I'm still in hella debt and haven't been able to touch my student loans. I hate doing this but I really really need to make sure I have some financial padding in case I need to evacuate. I have a bunch of unfinished adopts in various stages of
Friend's cat emergency, please help if you can
Please help if you can even if it's just spreading the word. : '(
The only reason I'm not homeless or worse and even have a chance of recovering from this debt I'm in is because I got help when Toby got sick again and he had to be put down. I don't wanna see anyone else struggle in that either. Its hard enough just the idea of losing a companion like that.
KINCADE FIRE - safe
5:01pm -- 11/2/19 (final update)
Back. Finally got my computer and stuff set up again. Everyones fine. We got super lucky with how thoroughly prepared our county was for this event. Even still, it could have gone very very badly. Energy is sapped pretty hard from the stress and vigilance. Our store was still open for the majority of it though we didn't get to work our full hours. We spent a lot of it emptying the freezers to save the products from going bad and later moving it all back in. Store has been extra busy with everyone who normally shops here back to replace everything they lost during the blackouts. It's going to take me a week or
